Fadzie Kativhu is a qualified children’s social worker and the co-founder of The Empowerment Brunch. With a BA in Education, Culture & Childhood and a Master’s in Social Work, Fadzie is passionate about supporting others in building lives that are both fulfilling and balanced.

As someone who has successfully navigated the demands of a 9-to-5 career while building a thriving platform in her spare time, Fadzie understands the unique challenges faced by women balancing work, personal goals, and dreams of entrepreneurship. She believes it’s entirely possible to have both—a stable career and the freedom to achieve milestones like buying your first home, travelling, and creating the life you envision. Fadzie is a firm advocate for women who don’t aspire to run global companies but instead seek financial stability, fulfilment, and personal growth on their own terms.

Fadzie’s approach at The Empowerment Brunch is inspired by her background in social work, where a holistic perspective is key. She believes that to show up as your best self, you need to consider every aspect of your life. Neglecting areas like mental health or self-care can impact your ability to stay motivated and work towards your goals. By encouraging women to take a holistic view of their lives, Fadzie helps them set priorities and create strategies that align with their personal values and ambitions.

While working full-time as a social worker, Fadzie built The Empowerment Brunch from the ground up—a testament to her resilience, determination, and commitment to creating a space for women to thrive. Her journey has been anything but linear. After facing burnout at the age of 28, she took a career break to reflect and redefine her path. This pivotal moment taught her the value of slowing down, rejecting societal pressures, and embracing the belief that it’s never too late to pivot towards a more fulfilling life.

Fadzie co-created The Empowerment Brunch as the platform she wished existed in her early 20s. It’s a community where women can discover their ‘why,’ gain confidence, and access the tools needed to turn their ambitions into reality. Through her work, Fadzie hopes to inspire every attendee to take ownership of their journey, showing them that with the right support, clarity, and determination, their dreams are within reach.
